Smart Outlets with USB charging ports

Rethinking the traditional wall outlet.   These smart outlets are coming down in price (about $25 USD at the time of writing).
In most units, you can control the individual outlet port (top, bottom, or USB).  They connect to your WiFi (2.4GHz band).  Setup isn't terribly complicated.   I made a video about it, you can see it at the bottom of this article.

While I am not rushing to replace EVERY outlet in the house, I have found that strategic placement in various parts of the house comes in handy at times.
My favorite use case is being able to cut or cycle power to certain electronics.  For example, the kids left the TV running in the upstairs family room and I don't feel.like walking all the way up there to shut it off.  Or, being able to power cycle network equipment.

The particular item pictured here is a Lumary Smart Outlet with USB type C and A Charger.

Here's that video:

Roadside Fiber Splicing

You may see this from time-to-time.  This is a truck and trailer by a busy avenue.  They are doing fiber splicing or cross-connecting in side that trailer.

This picture below is he well were the fiber service loop is stored.
